Corrections and contact

If you find an error in what we publish, please let us know using the contact details below. We will check it against the source, and if an error is confirmed, we will correct it and publish a record of the correction on this page. Until the check is complete, we will show on the part concerned that it is being checked.

Contact form: Open the corrections and contact form (Google Forms). The form is in Japanese. You can choose the type of message: reporting an error in figures, sources or definitions (訂正のご指摘（数値・⁠出典・⁠定義）), opinions and comments (ご意見、ご感想), requests for something to be published (掲載の要望) or other (その他).

• Purpose of use: Any name, email address or other details you send are used only to look into your report or comment and to contact you. Except where authorised or required by law, we do not give them to third parties or make them public.
• Retention and deletion: We delete emails and form responses approximately one year after we have finished dealing with them.
• How messages are received: The form uses Google Forms, and responses are stored on Google's servers.

1. We receive your report through the contact details above.
2. We check the facts against the source.
3. Until the check is complete, we add a note to the part concerned saying that it is being checked.
4. If an error is confirmed, we correct it and add it to the record of corrections.

There are currently no published corrections. If a correction affecting figures, sources or definitions is made, we will list the date, the item concerned and a summary of the correction, in date order.
